Ole Miss basketball gets their second commitment of the 2025 recruitment class
After a busy transfer portal period, Ole Miss basketball head coach Chris Beard is fully tuned into recruiting. The Rebels landed their second high-profile commitment of the 2025 class.
Four-star forward Tylis Jordan announced he was committing to Ole Miss, choosing the Rebels over Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, LSU, and Tennessee. According to On3, Jordan is ranked the No.7 power forward and the No. 24 overall prospect in the nation.
Standing at 6-foot-9 and 210 pounds, Jordan spoke to On3 about why he chose to commit to Chris Beard's Ole Miss team.
"“I felt like Ole Miss was the right choice because of the great culture and the winning tradition coach Beard brings to any programs he’s been apart of. I trusted the coaching staff because they stayed consistent the entire time and were always clear about their vision and plans for me. I felt like that plan will get me to the next level.”"

Ole Miss boasts the No.1 ranked 2025 recruitment class
It's only early in the 2025 recruiting class for college basketball teams. However, with the commitment of Tylis Jordan, Ole Miss is now ranked No. 1 in 247Sports 2025 team recruiting rankings.
The Rebels only have two committed players: Jordan and shooting guard Patton Pinkins, both four-star players. According to 247Sports, Jordan and Pinkins were ranked among the top 100 players and top 20 at their positions.
Head coach Chris Beard has been a top recruiter at previous schools. The 2025 class is the first time Beard has had a complete cycle since arriving in Oxford to recruit future prospects. After a promising 2024 transfer portal class, he will now look to push the program to new heights in 2024.
