Over the opening two gamedays in Oxford, Ole Miss has seen several top recruits on the sidelines. 2026 defensive tackle JaReylan McCoy has been at both of the Rebels' opening games and is very impressed with the program.

McCoy, an in-state prospect from Tupelo, has mentioned to himself that Ole Miss is the leader in his recruitment. After the Furman game, McCoy, the No.10 defensive tackle in the 2026 class, released his top 6, featuring Ole Miss, LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, and USC.

Crystal Ball prediction in for JaReylan McCoy to Ole Miss

After his Middle Tennessee visit, JaReylan McCoy spoke to On3, saying Ole Miss was definitely his leader when it came to recruiting. David Johnson of 247Sports Inside the Rebels is quietly confident he will commit to Lane Kiffin's team, making a crystal ball prediction for the Tupelo High School prospect to Ole Miss.

""It's just the love. It's the fans and how they treat everybody. The coaching staff...everybody talks to everybody and everybody shows love.""

JaReylan McCoy on Ole Miss

Per 247Sports Composite Rankings, McCoy is ranked the No. 5 player in Mississippi and the No. 98 player in the nation. David Johnson cited his relationship with Rebels defensive line coach Randall Joyner as a major reason he made a crystal ball prediction.

Lane Kiffin and his staff have done an excellent job recruiting defensive talent from in-state, especially on the defensive line. Huge props to Joyner, who is a key recruiter for Kiffin on the defensive side of the ball.

Kiffin and the Rebels could better recruit offensive players from Mississippi, letting several top names leave for programs outside of the state. Hopefully, the direction of the program and the Grove Collective can help turn that around.
