If anybody thought Lane Kiffin was done in the transfer portal, that was answered yesterday. Ole Miss flipped the commitment of Ohio wide receiver Izaiah Hartrup. The former Southern Illinois receiver committed to the Bobcats on May 20 after entering the transfer portal in December 2023.

Hartrup played four seasons for the Salukis from 2020-2023, appearing in just one game in 2022 due to injury. The 6-foot WR played every game last season for Southern Illinois, finishing with stats of 51 receptions for 706 yards and six touchdowns.

On May 29, Izaiah Hartrup posted on his social media that he was de-committing from Ohio University.

"Id like to thank the coaches for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play ball for a great program and with great people. With that being said, after consideration I have decided to de-commit from Ohio University. Once again, thank you."

Two days later, he announced on social media that he was committed to Ole Miss. Hartrup will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Ole Miss wide receiver room stacked heading into 2024

Lane Kiffin is bringing in top talent across the roster and stacking it ready for the 2024 season. We have seen Kiffin bring in numerous running backs; he is now doing the same with receivers.

The recent addition of Izaiah Hartrup was arguably not necessary. However, it adds another solid receiver to the depth chart, covering injuries and adding competition. The Ole Miss wide receiver room is near three deep across three WR positions.

The first three of Tre Harris, Antwane Wells, and Jordan Watkins are amongst the best trio in the nation. Behind them, they have Deion Smith and sophomores Cayden Lee and Ayden Williams. Now add Izaiah Hartup and talented freshman Noreel White, and Ole Miss is dangerously gifted.
