The odds have dropped for the 2025 College Football National Championship via FanDuel. With all the hype around Ole Miss, the Rebels have broken the top ten favoured teams.
Since Lane Kiffin emptied everything into the transfer portal, ready for the 2024 season, the media have been tipping the Rebels for a national championship. Today, FanDuel released their latest odds for the potential winners in 2025, with Ole Miss breaking the top ten.
The Rebels landed seventh on the list alongside LSU with odds of +1500. The six teams with shorter odds all finished in the top eight of this season's CFP rankings. The Southeastern Conference was king, with five teams making the top ten. Alabama, Texas and Georgia.
Despite being snubbed in this season's college playoffs, Georgia still lands as favourites to win the 2025 National Championship. It does come as a surprise that Ole Miss are not shorter than LSU, with the situation both rosters are at as it stands today.
With Ole Miss landing on the list, it shows how much Lane Kiffin has improved the roster in December. Kiffin has brought in talented defensive players such as Walter Nolen. Chris Paul Jr, Princely Umanmielen amongst others.
The offense has seen key contributors from last season return while adding more game-changing pieces. It looks like the next part of the project for Kiffin is to strengthen the offensive line.
Ole Miss are a genuine contender for the College Football National Championship, as well as the SEC title. Rebel fans have a lot to look forward to this coming season, with a long time to wait for the first game in 2024.
