It's day 1 of the NFL Scouting Combine, with the defensive linemen and linebackers the first positional groups to take on the drills. Ole Miss Football's defensive end Cedric Johnson showed out earlier today.

Cedric Johnson is the highest-rated Ole Miss prospect in this year's NFL draft cycle, getting mocked anywhere from the third round to the fifth round. After today's testing numbers, Johnson may have cemented his name in the third round, possibly back end of the second.

Johnson finished top five in three of the four drills while finishing seventh in the broad jump with a 10'2" jump. The senior defensive end was number one in the vertical jump, reaching 38.00". Scouts were aware of his explosiveness off the line, with the vertical jump score confirming it.

In the 40-yard dash, Johnson ran a 4.64s, the fourth best in the position group, with Penn State's Chop Robinson running the fastest with a 4.48s time.

Johnson also met with NFL scouts, which will be an important part of the process. Assuming the interview stage goes well, alongside the numbers and his game tape, Johnson could be a day-two draft prospect.

Tomorrow, defensive backs Daijahn Anthony and Deantre Prince will be the final two Ole Miss Football players to take part in Indianapolis.
