Ole Miss sit at number one in the transfer portal rankings after the commitment of DT Walter Nolen on Christmas Eve. Could it be possible that they land another Texas A&M transfer in wide receiver Evan Stewart?

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin and defensive coordinator Pete Golding are the talk of college football over the last few days. With the latest commitment of the number one transfer portal player Walter Nolen, the Rebels moved to number one in the team rankings.

Despite Nolen and the other ten-player haul of transfer players, it appears that Kiffin is still active in adding players. Ole Miss were mentioned alongside four other teams to watch for Texas A&M wide receiver Evan Stewart.

Oregon, Florida State, USC, Tennessee and Ole Miss were named as potential landing spots for Evan Stewart by On3.

Despite being mentioned by On3, it seems unlikely that Kiffin would be heavily pursuing Stewart. The Rebel's head coach has already brought in South Carolina transfer Antwane Wells and JUCO commit Deion Smith. On top of that, Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins are staying in Oxford for another season. This results in a crowded receiver room, something Stewart may not be interested in.

On the flip side, Evan Stewart could be pulled in by what is being built in Oxford as well as having a talented quarterback in Jaxson Dart throwing the ball.

In his two seasons with the Aggies, Evan Stewart caught 91 passes for 1,163 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The Texas native was a five-star recruit from the 2022 class.

If Kiffin is serious about adding Stewart to the team and succeeds in securing his services, it would be another huge transfer portal win for Ole Miss.
