The schedule for the 2025 Southeastern Conference was released on March 20, with a surprise for teams and fans.

Ole Miss Football and the rest of the SEC found out their conference schedule for the 2025 season. It was met with some surprise by fans when it was revealed the Rebels would play the same schedule in 2024 and 2025, with one change. Despite the same opponents, where the teams play their matches this season, will be flipped in 2025.

For example, Ole Miss will play Georgia at home this season. That will change to playing in Athens in the 2025 season.

It was greeted with disappointment from Ole Miss fans, with some wanting a different schedule to what the Rebels face in 2024.

It does mean Ole Miss will play LSU, Georgia and Arkansas three seasons in a row when the 2025 season is all said and done. It's a head-scratching decision from the Southeastern Conference. However, some see it as an opportunity, myself included.

With media and Ole Miss fans suggesting that the Rebels have a good route to the 2024 college football playoffs, would we not like that in 2025?

Lane Kiffin would have a tougher non-conference schedule with games against USC, Tulane and Wake Forest. However, only the USC game is on the road, coming in week one of the season. It would mean, worst case, if it's a loss against the Trojans, the Rebels could win 10-11 games and still make the 2025 college playoffs.

First, let's concentrate on this season and making program history by making it to the 2024 college playoffs.
