Most analysts have ranked the Ole Miss offense in the top ten for the upcoming season; even the position groups are among the nation's top ten. EA Sports clearly doesn't share that opinion with its latest in-game reveal.

EA Sports has been dropping snippets from the game this week, preparing gamers for the July release of their college football game. Today, we discovered the top 25 rated offenses in-game, with Ole Miss not making the top ten.

They were, in fact, ranked No.13 with an 87 overall rating. This was the same rating as Clemson, Penn State, and Utah, all of which were ranked ahead of the Rebels.

A rating of 87 may be underwhelming. However, the bigger problem is that EA believes Clemson, Miami, and, the biggest surprise, Colorado have better offenses heading into 2024. Penn State, who Ole Miss outperformed on offense in the Peach Bowl, is ranked one spot above them.

Ole Miss finished above the majority of the top 12 in points per game, yards per game, total yards in the season, and several more categories. Apart from losing running back Quinshon Judkins, this is the same team with even more talent to strengthen the roster.

If EA has punished Ole Miss for losing Judkins, this seems disrespectful to Ulysses Bentley, who outperformed Judkins in yards per carry last season. Charlie Weis Jr. is still the offensive coordinator, and other programs, such as Penn State, will have a fresh start at OC.

There is no reason for EA to rank the Rebels' offense outside the top 10. Looking at last season's performance on the field and what they are expected to do this season, this is a top-five offense in the country. The disrespect is real, and Ole Miss will prove that on the field this season.
