Vegas release high win total for Ole Miss Football's 2024 season

The hype around the Ole Miss Football team is not slowing down months out from the new season. Vegas are aware, setting a high win total for the Rebels for the 2024 season.

Ole Miss Football have been on a rapid upward trend since the transfer portal opened in early December. In fact, the improvement of the program has been on full show ever since Lane Kiffin took the head coach job in 2019. Over the last season, up until this point, the media have taken notice of Ole Miss once again.

The Rebels hit the ten-win mark in the 2023 regular season, the second time in four seasons under Lane Kiffin. They made it 11 wins thanks to a post-season bowl win over Penn State, the highest win total in program history.

During December/January, Ole Miss landed some of the top prospects from the transfer portal, had some highly ranked 2024 recruits sign and kept some experienced senior players on the roster. They now have one of the best rosters in college football. It's one of the reasons why most media outlets have the Rebels ranked in the top eight in their 2024 way-too-early rankings.

Vegas has recognised this, with the FanDuel Sportsbook releasing its win totals for the Rebels. Having been set at 7.5 before last season the total has been moved up by a full two games to 9.5 for the 2024 season. As of today, the over is set at -144, with the under set at +118.

Looking at the Ole Miss Football 2024 schedule, the Rebels have a big chance of hitting the over given by Fan Duel. They will need to if they plan on making the new 12-team playoff. The four toughest games on paper are Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida and LSU, with the Bulldogs and Sooners games being played in Oxford.

The team will need to do the talking on the field when the season starts. However, Ole Miss are capable of making it to ten wins again, possibly even more.
