On3 has acknowledged the potential upside for Ole Miss Basketball in the 2024-25 season, considering the returning players and the new recruits and transfers. In his 5.0 way-too-early rankings, James Fletcher II placed Ole Miss at No. 24, Marking the team's second appearance after being ranked No. 23 in his 4.0 rankings.
The Rebels were among seven Southeastern Conference teams to make the top 25, two spots behind their nearest SEC rivals, Texas A&M.
