Ole Miss Basketball has its third commit from the transfer portal: guard Dre Davis, who was previously with Seton Hall.

On April 17, the Ole Miss Rebels arguably got their most significant commitment yet from the transfer portal. Dre Davis, a former Seton Hall guard, chose to join Chris Beard's team mere hours after a two-day visit to Oxford, a testament to the team's allure. ESPN analyst Pete Thamel confirmed the news, citing Davis's agent, Noah Reisenfeld of Young Money APAA Sports.

Davis arrives with Ole Miss after an excellent 2023/24 season at Seton Hall. The senior helped guide the Pirates to an NIT Championship, averaging 15 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Coach Beard is getting a big-game player who has been part of a Seton Hall team that won twice over No.1 ranked UConn and Marquette this past season.

Davis is the third commit this week, following forwards Malik Dia and Mikeal Brown-Jones into Oxford. All three players were ranked four-star players in the 247Sports transfer portal rankings.
