Ole Miss TE Dae'Quan Wright successfully piqued the interest of an NFC East Ginat with his measurments at the NFL Combine.

Ranked as the fourth-best TE in Indianapolis, the Philadelphia Eagles conducted an unofficial interview with Wright on Thursday, as confirmed by Packers beat reporter.

Dae'Quan Wright to the Eagles?

As of now, the Eagles look like the only team who has officially interviewed Wright.

During his media-day appearance at the NFL Combine, Wright made it clear that he isn't your traditional "hand-in-the-dirt" blocker; he’s a move-TE who plays more like a big slot receiver.

"I really do like both but I do like to show what I can do with the ball. So, I like to get short routes to show them that I got that +2 mentality every time I touch it. Maybe like an option route. So you gotta option to break out, that type of route. 5 to 6," Wright said.

This makes him a perfect fit for head coach Nick Sirianni's offense, which thrives on versatility and YAC (Yards After Catch).

In 2025, Wright averaged 10.1 yards after catch, which led all FBS tight ends. Philly loves playmakers who can turn a 5-yard hitch into a 15-yard gain, especially with Jalen Hurts' ability to extend plays.

That is why Jax Falcone calls him a "super undervalued pick".

"I’m not even close to having finished takes regarding the 2026 rookie class.

"But at first glance - Dae’Quan Wright is super undervalued at Tight End. 1.81 career YPRR.14.2 career yards per rec. Over 125.0 ‘passer rating when targeted’ in his final two seasons at Ole Miss," Flacone writes.

With rumors swirling all around on Dallas Goedert getting a massive deal in the free agency, Wright would be a safe late Day 2 or Day 3 pick for the Eagles as an high-upside backup (TE2/3) who can eventually develop into a starter.
