Eagles Gm Howie Roseman just gave a masterclass on equvivocation, and left the door open for a possible blockbuster trade for his WR1 A.J. Brown.

Following Nick Sirianni’s 'no-guarantees' bombshell regarding A.J. Brown's future in Philly, the trade rumors have officially hijacked all the buzz surrounding the Ole Miss titan.

Howie Roseman doubles down On Sirianni's A.J Brown take

Now, with GM Howie Roseman doubling down on Sirianni's call, franchise will most definitely be making some calls. Calls that Roseman says he needs to answer as a GM.

"Our job as GMs, we gotta listen on anyone, and that doesn’t have anything to do with A.J. If anyone calls me and says, ‘Hey, I want to talk about a player,’ for me to say unequivocally, ‘I’m not taking your call,‘ that doesn’t make sense because I don’t know what they’re going to say on the other end," Roseman said in his interview with CBS Sports.

“We’re in the business of keeping great players and A.J. is a great player. A.J. is a difference-making player for our team. He’s been on our team for four years. We’ve been to the playoffs all four of those years, won a Super Bowl, been in two Super Bowls, and he’s a captain on our team. And so, you’re not looking to get rid of players like that."

"For us, the disappointment in the season was not progressing past the first round of the playoffs — we’re looking to build on that, and go forward. And so, that’s adding on," Roseman continued.

At last, came the defining sentence on Browns' future with the Eagles.

"Now, the chances that I’m doing that [trading] with a great player, they’re not very high," Roseman said.

Not "there's no chance," but "not very high". Roseman all but left the door open just enough to get some blockbuster trades, even to consider trading Brown, while still trying to keep things hopeful for the WR.

Until the decision, or the trade falls through, the buzz will only grow in Philly.
