Yes, the $200 million arm in Lambeau shares a special, behind-the-scenes connection with one of the best arms in college football: Trinidad Chambliss.

On the surface, Trinidad Chambliss is in no way related to Jordan Love. Love isn't even considered Chambliss's NFL comp.

But there is something the two elite QBs share that makes them better than the pack: the same QB coach.

Trinidad Chambliss tips his hat to personal QB coach

The secret sauce behind the DII transfer's superlative success as the QB who rips SEC defenses to shreds is the same guy who forged the Pack's gunslinger: Steven Calhoun.

"I wouldn’t say it’s changed, but if it looks better, that’s good. I work with my quarterback coach, Steve Calhoun, out in California. I was there over spring break, and I’ll go back in May. Just trying to keep improving," Chambliss said, discussing the improvement in his throwing motion.

Chambliss's connection with Calhoun goes way back. Love's QB coach has been dialing it in with Chambliss from his days at Ferris State.

It's no shock the QB took his first SEC QB1 opportunity to the house at Ole Miss to become an instant Saturday headliner.

"I started working with him before I even got significant playing time at Ferris State. He saw my potential and believed I was a Division I quarterback. I’ve been working with him for about two years now. He also works with Jordan Love, so he’s pretty elite."

While the receiver gets the highlights, part credit also goes to Joe Judge, who perfectly played the catalyst role back here in Oxford.

"Coach Judge is one of my favorite coaches I’ve ever had. He loves the game and is very detailed. He’s taught me a lot about football. We meet in the afternoons, go over things, talk about the NFL, coverages—everything. He’s been around guys like Tom Brady, so he’s got a ton of knowledge. You could say he has a master’s in football."

More than a stat sheet that could seduce any NFL scout, Chambliss is preparing for a Heisman trajectory of the decade this season. With both Love's QB coach and Judge's SEC IQ, an invite to New York seems like the floor this season.
