Trinidad Chambliss injunction news have truly turned the tide for Ole Miss's 2026 schedule.
With a completely restructured staff and a mass exodus of established players, the Rebels Top 10 toughest schedules was making the fans highky nervous.
The moment Judge Whitwell passed his ruling was the moment the Rebels fans breathed a sigh of relief.
Chambliss's guaranteed return eased much of that nervousness.
Ole Miss offense ranked No. 9
The QB returning with Kewan Lacy is a proven recipe for disaster for rival defenses. It is why CBS Sports' Brad Crawford ranks Ole Miss as a Top 10 college football offense in 2026.
"With quarterback Trinidad Chambliss receiving an injunction to play a sixth season, the Rebels look like a juggernaut in 2026. Auburn transfer Deuce Knight was once an insurance policy, set to take over under center if Chambliss' court challenge fell through. Now he'll be a luxury. Also helps after Kewan Lacy stiff-armed pursuit by LSU and Kiffin to stay with the Rebels. He's a 1,400-yard rusher who scored an SEC-leading 23 touchdowns last fall," Crawford wrote.
Perhaps one of the primary reasons that the Rebels' offense is still getting ranked at the bottom of the top offense lists is because of its familiarity with the new staff, and mainly OC John Baker.
How long it will take for Baker to find his groove with the Rebels in 2026 will decide how elite their offense turns out to be.
Ole Miss's rapport with Charlie Weis Jr. was why the Rebels had a nightmarish offense for the rest of the SEC. We'll see whether Baker can create an offense of a similar caliber.
