Cotie McMahon made a statement in more than one way on the Orange Carpet. Her look for the night already made heads turn, but her draft status is what made everyone price the Ole Miss talent.

McMahon was already touted to be a top-10 pick. But a minuscule slide landed her at No. 11 overall, getting drafted by the Washington Mystics.

Cotie McMahon to the Washington Mystics

WNBA rumors already had Mystics' interest in drafting McMahon, so the pick hardly came as a surprise. Coming off a historic season at Ole Miss under Coach Yo, all eyes would be on the Rebel guard in Washington as a potential breakout rookie.

McMahon is likely to land a massive rookie contract, which seemed like the baseline expectation for her as an All-SEC First Team and was an AP Honorable Mention All-American.

McMahon averaged 19.5 points per game, the fifth-best in a single season in program history. Plus her, McMahon, 703 total points were the fourth‑highest single‑season total in program history. McMahon's 34 double‑digit scoring games were also another record she added to the books this season.

Besides McMahon, the Mystics have added Angela Dugalić and Lauren Betts so far.
