Donta Evans is not necessarily new, as he was a redshirt last year. But still, he did not see any playing time so we’ll count this one. As a redshirt, he was able to watch from the sideline and watch our struggling defense and learn from the mistakes.

Junior, Detric Bing-Dukes is suspended for the season opener against South Alabama giving Donta his time to shine on the field. Watching fall practices Donta isn’t the fastest but is strong.

Donta definitely has a nose for the ball in his senior year of high school, he recorded 93 tackles and 3 sacks. Which lead him to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Senior Bowl.

Coach Bradley Dale Peveto has had nothing but great praise for the young LB.
