Just when Ole Miss football fans thought bacon makes everything better, the Arkansas Razorbacks showed up and gave the Ole Miss Rebels their fifth loss of the season.

OK Ole Miss football fans, a 31-7 blown lead took me a couple of days to get over, just to be totally honest. Once again we watched our Rebels blow a huge lead and of course I had to eat crow all day Sunday and much of Monday. Helpful hint: Bacon does NOT make crow better. We Are Ole Miss!

However, here we are on Tuesday and its past time for a Grove Grinder. Yes, another week and another Ole Miss Rebels loss. So where do we start? Well let’s start with the brunt of the problem. It begins exactly where it ended, on the coaching staff. The failure to make proper halftime adjustments is some which has plagued us this season.

Look, it’s a no brainer. You just blew a 31-7 lead in college football. It’s not midget football, it isn’t even high-school, its college. Not just college football but SEC West football. Come on man! The sad thing is we’ve seen this very thing before. It’s the tale of two halves.

Once again Ole Miss football fans have been left kicked in the stomach in the worst of ways. Too much Bacon can be bad. Sadly, the amount of Bacon which existed in the second half Saturday was way more than we could stomach. Bacon may make everything better? That is unless you choke on it. Ole Miss choked.

Oh, There Will Be Grades

Yes, we are Ole Miss and we have to resign ourselves to the fact we are now 3-5. If you have a weak stomach then you should probably turn your head; this could get ugly from here on out.

Naturally, OHT has been releasing grades on every game so far this season. Of course, most of the grades have been pretty bad and the ones for the Arkansas game will not be much better.

We did see what the future holds for Ole Miss football within the stellar play of Jordan Ta’amu who went 20 of 30 for 368 yards. This is the most passing yards in Ole Miss history for a quarterback in his first career start. Ta’amu also had 91 yards on 9 carries and 2 rushing TDs. Ta’amu did throw an INT.

Be sure to be watching for the grades coming out later the week. I’m sure some of you may not agree but hey we all watched the same game Saturday.

Bad Dreams

It’s only fitting Tuesday is Halloween. Of course, the streets across America will be filled with kids dressed up in their scariest costumes. There’s no doubt there will be a few bad dreams this evening after kids are shocked into fear.

Next: Some Really Bad Grades!

However, don’t fear. Trust me, there’s not much which can scare Ole Miss Rebels much worse than the bad dream which is this season. Maybe the Rebels can somehow find a little mojo as they travel to Lexington Kentucky to take on the Wildcats this Saturday. Perhaps the Rebels will wake up from this bad dream.
