Ole Miss football recruiting stepped it up a notch to get some of the best talent in the nation and dipped into South Carolina to get a top receiver.

The Ole Miss football staff was busy over the weeks just before the early signing period. Of course, the signing class which was unveiled was very surprising. Despite being very top-heavy defensively and filled with a few flips, there was an offensive mainstay among the list.

Sure Ole Miss has endured some negative attention over the past few years. However, Oxford and Ole Miss isn’t a hard sell for young men who really want to be there. One of those recruits who signed early has been dedicated to Ole Miss through everything. Demarcus Gregory of Byrnes out of Duncan, South Carolina has been solid Ole Miss.

Of course, the sell to get a top wide receiver in the nation really isn’t that hard when you consider the NWO. Great receivers aren’t hard to attract when they see themselves in coach Phil Longo’s offense. Demarcus Gregory is a receiver who knows he can be a weapon.

Demarcus Gregory of Byrnes out of Duncan, South Carolina has been solid Ole Miss since the beginning of his recruitment. Of course, there were a number of schools Gregory. Among those were North Carolina and the Gamecocks. However, Gregory realizes the potential he has to be a weapon.

At 6’3″ and 204 lbs Gregory is sized perfectly for play in the SEC. Gregory is big, very physical and  has the hands to make any catch on the field. In Gregory’s high school career he played in 13 game and had 69 receptions for 851 yards and 8 TDs.

Of course, Demarcus Gregory has the speed and agility to not just contribute but be the main target for Longo and the Rebels offense. When you watch his videos you can see the talent he possesses and it’s easy to imagine him leading the team in receiving.

In Closing

Demarcus Gregory is just one of the great recruits of the 2018 Ole Miss football recruiting class. He was solid Ole Miss all the way until the end. Ole Miss football is lucky to have this group of young men headed to Oxford when others are transferring.
