Establish The Running Game

This is an aspect of the offense which hundreds of teams will be trying to find success with this Saturday. While we would all love to see Ta’amu throw for 500 yards Saturday the Ole Miss offense can’t survive by passing alone. There will be better success if the offense can mix the game up. Rebels fans can expect to a heavy dose of the run early against the Red Raiders defense. Should the Rebels find success on the ground it will open up targets for Ta’amu downfield.

Coach Matt Luke, Phil Longo and the Ole Miss offense have been working in practice in order to develop a good running game. The Rebels have some very talented running backs despite not having experience at this level. The Rebels RBs may be young but they have a very experienced offensive line which has been ranked No.9 in the nation. Getting JUCO transfer Scottie Phillips and freshman Isaiah Woullard cranked up early will be a huge step in securing a win against a formidable Tech defense.
