There is excitement among Ole Miss football fans right now because we all know the spring is here and we finally have football.

After a very light winter it seems spring has finally sprung. Yes, trees and flowers are already blooming and we can tell the spring is here. Oh yeah, Ole Miss football began spring practice Tuesday which is another huge indicator in the change of seasons. Despite the Rebels 2018 season Ole Miss football has come a long way since the Egg Bowl.

Over the past three months we’ve watched as head coach Matt Luke made some staff changes and some great new hires. We also watched as the new-look Ole Miss staff made a huge 2019 NSD run to secure the No.22 class in the nation. The only thing we needed was more Ole Miss football and now we finally have it and we expect to see results.

Spring is about seeing new things and it usually means we are following other spring sports. This past weekend Ole Miss basketball was in action and picked up their 19th win of the season. Sadly the effect of the pregame activities overshadowed the Rebels Saturday win over Georgia. The Rebels are back in action Wednesday night as they will hunt their 20th win of the season against Tennessee.

Then there is Ole Miss baseball who despite a rough start against Wright State, and a cancelled game in the opening series of the season, have bounced back and had a road series win over Tulane which was undefeated entering the series. The Diamond Rebels picked up a big 12-6 home win over UT-Martin Tuesday night behind a strong offensive showing.

So spring is here and while we enjoy the warmer weather we also have Ole Miss athletics to look forward to. Between Ole Miss basketball, baseball and now spring football we have a lot on our plate which could be great. Please be sure to check back here for more updates throughout the spring and be sure to enjoy the blooms. Hotty Toddy!
