Ole Miss Rebels
Game-one Saturday morning will mark the sixth time the Rebels and Hogs have matched up. During the regular season the Rebels travelled to Fayetteville in a three-game series in which the Rebels picked up the series winning two out of three games. After losing the series opener 3-5 the Rebels bounced back to pick 4-3 and 10-5 wins.
The two teams would then match-up again in Hoover in the 2019 SEC Baseball Tourney where the Rebels fell 3-5 in the first meeting and were forced into the losers bracket. The Rebels then met the Hogs again in Hoover and won 3-2 eliminating Arkansas from the tourney. In 5 games against Arkansas in 2019 Ole Miss has 3 wins over the Hogs.
In Fayetteville
The Rebels are looking at three scheduled games in Fayetteville in which Ole Miss may only have to play twice. Its the best of three games which means the team to two wins first gets a trip to appear in the CWS. It won’t be an easy task for Bianco and the Rebels since Arkansas is 31-6 at home. Keep in mind 2 of those 6 losses were at the hands of Ole Miss.
The Rebels will face off against the Hogs in game-one Saturday with games scheduled for Sunday and Monday as well. First pitch for game-one is set for 11am CT and the game will be televised via ESPN. Good luck to coach Mike Bianco and Ole Miss baseball. BEAT THE HOGS! Hotty Toddy!
