Keegan Croucher isn't waiting for his freshman year to lead. The nation's Top QB is already spearheading the recruiting market with Pete Golding, helping him secure another prized prospect for the 2027 class.

Ole Miss football has been a top landing spot for four-star wideout Braylon Calais. The Cecilia (La.) athlete, who is perhaps the hottest in the recruiting market, is a WR who could also excel at playing RB and safety, making him a 'can't miss' prospect for Golding's new squad.

Croucher knows the value of having blockbuster target starting the year beside him, and that's why he has already resumed his leadership duties in helping the Rebels lure him in via social media.

Croucher signaled his unwavering allegiance in the threads with loud and clear 'Fins Up' emojis on the Rivals' post that officially shortlisted Ole Miss as Calais' landing spots.

Croucher is sending a clear statement across the SEC: even with the big-name programs calling, his commitment to Ole Miss isn't budging.

As for Calais, Golding's fresh-looking staff with significant ties in the recruiting world will do everything to move the needle in Rebels' favor.

LSU and Houston are the remaining two teams on Calais's shortlist. Locking in Calais will translate to a major recruiting win for Golding, putting him in a prime spot to compete with Lane Kiffin's top recruiting class at LSU. Besides, Calais is just one of the many recruits that Ole Miss and LSU are in a high-stakes battle for.

Calais's is set to officially visit Oxford on May 29, 2026.
