Come what may, Lane Kiffin isn't losing his cool over the Florida rumors.
The Ole Miss Rebels coach is instead keeping his focus where it is needed the most: the Egg Bowl.
Their in-state rivalry game against Mississippi State is the only remaining game standing between the Rebels and a College Football Playoff spot, their first one since the CFP era began 12 years ago.
Already a favorite to hold off Miss State, Lane Kiffin already back at his job for creating the perfect pre-game drama and the hype for the game the Rebel Nation awaits the most every single year.

For what it's worth, Kiffin generating Egg Bowl hype while every rumor in town sends him to Florida says volumes about his commitment to Ole Miss.
It might be partly because of the Florida drama, but the attendance at Vaught-Hemingway this Saturday was one of a kind.
Kiffin continues urging his fanbase to roll over the same electric atmosphere to Davis Wade next week, even though it is a time that Ole Miss fans are not the biggest fans of, to put it lightly.

Although the Rebels are the heavy favorites to pull this one off, they can't coast to the finish line. It is what cost them the Georgia game after all.
If the Rebels were to loose the Egg Bowl, it is no doubt that the CFP committee won't be too kind to them. Chances are, they will get knocked straight to No. 11 or No. 12, or even entirely out of Top 12.
The Rebels head to Davis Wade on Nov. 28, the day after Thanksgiving.
