Just three weeks ago, Ole Miss fans weren't even sure if the Rebels could make it to the college football playoffs this season following Austin Simmons' injury.

However, Trinidad Chambliss's seamless transition to the QB spot and his leading the Rebels to a 3-0 record with a 24-19 victory over LSU came as the best kind of surprise.

So much so that Chambliss has a square shot at replacing Simmons as the Rebels' starting QB. Coach Kiffin admitted the decision would be tough, but it is a problem he would like to have.

"We have two really good quarterbacks," Kiffin said. "That's a really good thing to have. As you see around the country, people usually lose their quarterback and their team changes a lot. Austin got hurt and we're still able to play the way that we've played."

But Kiffin being Kiffin is not planning to reveal his decision just yet. He'll take his sweet time, especially with bye week around the corner.

"You know, we've got a bye week coming up," Kiffin continued. "5-0, 3-0, and first place in the conference. It's a good problem to have. I don't have an answer right now, and I don't need an answer right now."

Sure enough, having two QBs up his sleeve, both neck-to-neck talented, and having to pick one from those is a problem a lot of other head coaches would like to have.

Making the pick will not be easy. A steadily recovering Simmons is off the injury report and is out to re-establish his QB1 reputation.

On the other hand, Chambliss' stunning score of 300+ yards consistently across three starts is already enough of a reason for Kiffin to name him the starting QB. Winning all three of those games is just an added plus to his resume.

Announcing the update on their starting quarterback will be the most-anticipated question Kiffin will face coming off the bye week.
