Florida fans are convinced that Lane Kiffin is coming to Gainesville. Ole Miss fans have faith that he will not leave Oxford.

And then, there's Lane Kiffin, whose ambiguity on the topic is keeping both fanbases anxious.

The situation has gotten so bad that it has taken the shape of one of the hottest rivalries in 2025.

And entering the Ole Miss vs. Florida week, Kiffin thought it was about time he addressed the online feud between the two fan bases.

Props to him for still maintaining his ambiguity and giving a hilariously sarcastic solution — one that actually sounds genius given the direness of the situation.

"Somebody was just saying that today, one of our student assistants explained to me, the fans are going back and forth. And they said, 'I think there's a new rivalry, Ole Miss fans and Florida fans, and they should just put a steel cage somewhere and let them fight it out.'" Kiffin said during his media appearance on Nov. 9.

"Maybe, halftime of the game," he added, suggesting a facetious fix for upcoming Saturday.

The Ole Miss and Florida fans will finally be in the same place after months of seething in a rivalry that has been brewing for months. Nothing less than a powder keg atmosphere is anticipated at the Vaught-Hemingway.

The expected volatility on Saturday is one of the reasons why Kiffin doesn't think that Florida fans would be cheering for him, despite him being their favorite to be the next head coach at The Swamp.

"I don't think (fans will cheer)," Kiffin said in a press conference on Nov. 9. "I think that people run pretty true to their schools when it comes to cheering in the game."

Ole Miss welcomes Florida at the Vaught Hemingway on Saturday, Nov. 15.
