Right after Ole Miss defeated Oklahoma in a 34-26 game, Lane Kiffin sent for his players who had already retired to the locker room to come out.

"And I was like, you know, just enjoy the moment. And these are hard to do, they’re hard to come by. You’re in an iconic stadium that just won a million games here, and you did something really special," Kiffin said in his post-game conference when asked about it.

But there was more to Kiffin's energetic post-game celebration that stayed with the fans: his supposed words, or rather verdict, on the Florida coaching rumors shadowing him since Billy Napier's firing.

"I'm not f****ng leaving," Kiffin appeared to say in the viral video, or at least that's what the fans feel he said. He also did not mention Florida anywhere, but given all the talks he is in and the pressure on him to answer the burning question about the vacancy, it was easy to deduce.

Lane Kiffin clears the confusion surrounding his words

However, soon after Ole Miss fans started celebrating based on Kiffin's supposed words, he came clean on what he actually said.

"That's not what I said, I'm sorry to tell you. I said we'll be back here to this stadium, it was just one of those moment things, but it wasn't what some people think I said," the Ole Miss football coach stated.

Kiffin has previously stated explicitly that he usually steers away from addressing rumors, but the Florida rumors are on a whole other level.

His continued ambiguity after such strong lobbying from the Florida fans is keeping the 'will he or will he not?' questions buzzing about his interest in the Florida job.

In other words, keeping Ole Miss fans wondering whether he would leave Oxford mid-season.

Rumors aside, Kiffin's primary focus is continuing Ole Miss's successful run this season and making sure they don't squander their sure-shot berth to the college football playoff.

Ole Miss takes on South Carolina next on Nov. 1.
