The Ole Miss roster is no longer holding onto the bridges Lane Kiffin so casually burned down when he picked his next job.

Kiffin wanting greener pastures for himself in LSU was never the problem, it was how he dealt with Ole Miss when he had clearly made the decision.

It started with stringing along the whole of Ole Miss for months. Then came the postponing of deadlines with the College Football Playoff just around the corner, followed by wanting the best of both worlds in coaching the Rebels through the CFP when he had already made up his mind about LSU.

The poaching threats followed, and it didn't stop even there. Kiffin's final move was playing the victim card and blaming everything on AD Keith Carter and the whole of Ole Miss in what was a very public and known exit.

It was the final straw in the Rebels' roster's patience.

Ole Miss OL and LB blast Kiffin's false claims

“‘Despite the team asking me to keep coaching,’” Ole Miss starting offensive lineman Brycen Sanders posted on X, quoting Kiffin’s statement: “I think everyone that was in that room would disagree.”

Linebacker Suntarine Perkins directly called out Kiffin for his false claims on Carter in a confrontational, no-nonsense way.

"That was not the message you said in the meeting room. Everybody who was in there can vouch on this," Perkins wrote about Kiffin's outrageous parting message..

Offensive lineman Paris Wilkins posted in agreement with Sanders, writing, “Fax this was not said from anyone.”

Lineman Jayden Williams also showed that he was on the same page with a brutal: "Let em’ know. Every single person."

Kiffin could have avoided making a fool of himself by just choosing a normal, quiet exit. However, it seems that he wanted to speak all that he couldn't during the weeks of LSU rumors.

Nevertheless, the charade is over now, and Ole Miss can finally get back to focusing on the Playoff.
