"Selective enforcement" is a term that you will hear from a lot of Ole Miss fans in the following days.
After Dabo Swinney's tampering allegations, Fresno State became the next in line to hand the NCAA more verbal receipts, solidifying the claims, making Ole Miss the convenient pawn.
Fresno State alleges tampering from Ole Miss
Insider John Canzano sent another shockwave through college football with additional tampering claims from Fresno State.
“NCAA investigators had contact with the Bulldogs’ athletic department this week, per sources," Canzano wrote.
This time, the name involved was Fresno State wide receiver Josiah Freeman.
"The contact stems from allegations that an Ole Miss football staff member made improper contact and tampered with Fresno State receiver Josiah Freeman, a sixth-year senior and the team’s leading receiver.”
"Matt Entz, the coach at Fresno State, declined to comment on Wednesday. Bulldogs’ athletic director, Garrett Klassy, isn’t talking, either. I’m told by NCAA sources that Freeman provided screenshots of the communications to officials," Canzano further wrote.
“Fresno State has receipts,” a source added, seemingly making situation more dire for the Rebels.
A twist in the Ole Miss "tampering" probe... NCAA investigators are looking into illegal contact the Rebels allegedly had with a star Fresno State player.

Per NCAA's statement, an investigation is already underway.
As ugly this could get for Golding, the real issue is entierly something else.
Ever since Swinney's claims, there have been multiple confirmations of tampering running wild in the transfer portal world. Players, agents, coaches, all were on board.
Everybody was doing it. Darian Mensah didn't just land in Miami right after his legal battle with Duke. Neither did Hollywood Smothers from NC State to Texas.
The unwritten writing is clear on the wall.
And let's not even get started about the 4 Ole Miss players Lane Kiffin took to LSU.
It was all right in front of the NCAA's eyes this whole time, yet they hardly did anything other than lengthy investigations that were closed years later without any action.
This time, however, it seems to be an orcheatration in motion to make Golding the fall guy.
