The entire Rebel Nation felt like they just won a wart that mattered the most when LSU's five-star OT Carius Curne flipped to Ole Miss. It felt like a personal win for Ole Miss football against Lane Kiffin.
Now, they're not even sure if he'll be allowed to play this season.
Recent reports suggested that Curne was arrested by Arkansas police under 6 charges on Sautrday, April 25.
Charges against Carius Curne dropped
Now, after three days, Curne has paid fine and charges have been dropped, per latest reports. The legal side of matter has been closed.
Michael Katz reported, "Per court records, the two possession charges and improper passing charge against Carius Curne will not be pursued. The disposition for the reckless driving, fleeing and speeding charges were guilty. Looks like he paid a $2,150 fine. No sentences or anything like that."

When Pete Golding was asked about it on the podium on Monday, he didn't sugarcoat what could be coming. The Athletic Department is yet to make a decision on Curne.
"Obviously, it’s a legal matter. We’re still gathering information, so really can’t speak on that. But we’ll let the legal process run its course and see what happens," Golding said.
Curne could still face penalties like suspension dor few games or the entire spring/summer session or mandatory hours to restore program's reputation.
Another gut punch could be a massive loss in NIL opportunites.
The charges might be gone, but Curne is definitely not out of the woods yet regarding his status for the fall.
