The ESPN College GameDay crew will be in Ireland for the first time this Saturday, as they are part of the game day coverage and build-up. In an intriguing ACC match-up, Georgia Tech and Florida State will face off at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

It will also feature the first celebrity guest picker of the new season, with WWE wrestler Sheamus announced yesterday. He will join Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and Pat McAfee to select his winning teams. Lee Corso will not travel to Ireland but should be back for week 1 the following Saturday.

With Only four games on the week 0 slate, we will see if games from week 1 are added or if it's just a novelty guest, with his score not counting towards the other future weekly guests. Sheamus, real name Stephen Farrelly, was born in Ireland and made his WWE debut in 2009 on the ECW show.

In 2023, WWE star The Rock was the celebrity guest picker for the Colorado-Colorado State game, going 8-2 with his ten picks. In 2022, WWE superstar Bianca Belair went 7-4. as she was the guest picker for Florida @ Tennessee, with her being a University of Tennessee alumni.

Who could be the celebrity guest picker for week 1?

We already know that ESPN College GameDay will be in College Station for the week 1 game between Notre Dame and Texas A&M. Who could we see at the celebrity guest picker for the Aggies game?

Current NFL players Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans, Buffalo linebacker Von Miller, and Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett could be options. Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell would also be a popular choice.

Texas country singer Roger Creager and actress Jennifer Garner, whose father is a huge Texas A&M fan, could be wildcard options. Or could they go with a Fighting Irish celebrity picker, with Mike Golic and his son Mike Golic Jr. options?

We will find out early next week, and there is also a possibility they have a random guest picker. It will be part of your build-up to the week 1 game between Ole Miss and Furman on August 31.
