Ole Miss's future at quarterback after Jaxson Dart looks healthy, with a talented set of young players on the roster. Head coach Lane Kiffin is looking to keep that line of talent by recruiting the 2026 class of signal callers. He will have an elite talent from California on campus this month.

Five-star prospect Ryder Lyons is set to visit Ole Miss this month, as well as Auburn, Alabama, and Texas A&M. No date is confirmed, but it looks to be late in July.

According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Lyons is ranked the No. 3 quarterback in the 2026 class and the No. 11 player nationally. A crystal ball prediction was placed for Lyons to follow in his brother's footsteps and commit to USC. Lyons is interested in what the SEC offers, checking out four of the best in the conference.

It will be interesting to see if Ryder Lyons will be in Oxford for Juice Fest on July 27 alongside plenty of other future talent. A commitment from Lyons would be thanks to some great recruiting from Lane Kiffin and his staff.

Ryder Lyons following many highly-rated quarterbacks out of Folsom

Ryder Lyons isn't the first big-name quarterback out of Folsom High School to be a high-end recruit. Most recently, Austin Mack, a 2024 recruit who reclassified to be part of the 2023 class, was a four-star, top-10-ranked quarterback who is now on the Alabama roster.

Before these recent players, Folsom saw NFL quarterback Jake Browning play his High school football there. Browning was also a four-star recruit who attended the University of Washington.

Kaiden Bennett is another former Folsom quarterback currently the Sacramento State Hornets starter. All four quarterbacks are talented, with Ryder Lyons having the highest potential of them all.

Recent Ole Miss recruits from California include Braden Waterman and Matt Corral, the latter now playing his football in the UFL with the Birmingham Stallions.
