Lane Kiffin has been feeling all the heat from the 'what's it going to be?' question in Ole Miss. Just this time, the talks finally got to him.
After a dominant 38-19 Egg Bowl win over Mississippi State, Kiffin was preparing himself for the inevitable storm of questions about his impending decision between LSU and Ole Miss.
Generally, the 50-year-old has avoided confronting any harsh things being said about him in the coaching carousel talks in the past couple of months; there was one in particular that pushed his buttons the wrong way.
Lane Kiffin snaps at On3 reporter
When discussing his take on Kiffin's future, On3 reporter Ben Garret explained why he thought Ole Miss shouldn't keep Kiffin around. The way he did it was what poked the bear.
"Can’t turn a [expletive] into a housewife. [Expletive] don’t act right," Garrett said earlier this week in his podcast.

Kiffin, who could not hold himself back when he spotted Garrett post-game, went up to him and very coldly stated, "You wanna walk in here and call me a [expletive]? We'll see how it goes.”
The sheer impassivity left Garret speechless face-to-face with Kiffin, but he later took to his social media to share his reaction.
"Kiffin didn’t like the ‘Can’t turn a [expletive] into a housewife; [expletive] don’t act right’ line from the podcast. He sought be out in the tunnel after the game to tell me," the On3 reporter tweeted.

He sought be out in the tunnel after the game to tell me 🤣
As much of a fever-pitch as the impatience has hit in Ole Miss and LSU, the decision would naturally be tough for Kiffin to make.
Instead of the stoic silence, a simple statement like 'I need some more time to make the call', perhaps after the season ends, would have bought Kiffin more time if he needed it.
It would have meant all the time that Kiffin wanted, plus an end to the apprehension in the Rebels squad about whether he would be there with them during their next game or not.
Kiffin is set to release his decision tomorrow.
