The Ole Miss Rebels managed to add another win to their 7-1 record, pulling one off against South Carolina at home.
The 30-14 win over the Gamecocks advanced the Rebels as an 8-1 team (5-1) SEC, and extended their streak of home game wins to 6-0.
Although it was QB Trinidad Chambliss who lead the Rebels to a win, RB Kewan Lacy stole the show.
RB Kewan Lacy has yet another big day
The Rebels running back has been one player who has consistently showed up for his team every single time in the past few games.
Tonight was no different as Lacy scrimmaged for 167 yards on 24 carries and a massive 56-yard touchdown in the 4th quarter that gave the Rebels that winning edge over the Gamecocks.
Lacy also caught three receptions for seven yards against South Carolina on Nov.1.
A running back that not enough people are talking about: Ole Miss’ Kewan Lacy.

Through nine games, Lacy racked up 863 rushing yards and an SEC-high 13 touchdown runs, making him an undeniably standout Rebels player.
Trinidad Chambliss had a career-low passing yards day
On the other hand, while star QB Trinidad Chambliss wasn't a disaster altogether against South Carolina, he wasn't perfect either.
Chambliss clearly struggled against South Carolina's defense despite having an offense like Ole Miss backing him up.
The Ferris State QB went 12-for-21 passing for 159 yards. He threw for one touchdown and one interception, and also rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.
A primary reason for his poor stats was that he made some bad reads early in the game, his interception in the final minutes of the second quarter being the most concerning one.
It was his first interception this season.
Trinidad hasn’t been lights-out tonight, but he hasn’t been awful. Ole Miss needs to throw it more, imo.

What made it worse was that this was a career low in passing yards for Chambliss. His previous career low in a start was 253 against Washington State.
Chambliss has had games where he scored 300+ passing yards through consecutive games.
That said, Chambliss still did enough to make other players shine and led his team to a win over a conference opponent by a huge margin.
