Ole Miss football's last week's win against Oklahoma served as their comeback win after Georgia handed them their first loss of the season the week before.
But more than just a loss, Georgia brought out some offensive limitations that could have held the Rebels back were it not for that reality check. Lane Kiffin was quick to take note and make some improvements on his offense to finally get QB Trinidad Chambliss back to being one of the most formidable QBs in the SEC.
Speaking on how Kiffin navigated those changes, Chambliss was truly grateful for having a team like Kiffin's to guide them through one of the toughest defenses in the nation, and come out winning against them.
"Yeah, I think our coaches did a great job of preparing us to see a unique defense like Oklahoma. Coach Venables, you know, mastermind, defensive-wise. And just calming us down, not getting ahead of ourselves each drive and just kind of making it, I guess not necessarily easy, but just calm and smooth throughout every drive, so," Chambliss said on SEC Now.
Additionally, he opened up on how the said improvements have improved their offensive sync, which will surely be a big concern for their upcoming opponents.
"Yeah, me being a dual-threat definitely keeps the defense on their toes. Whether we're going to pass or run, they don't really know. I mean our offense does a great job of finding ways to get open. You know our receivers, making great plays. Shoutout to our offensive line. I think I only got sacked once, and I really could have scrambled that play. But yeah, our offense is very, very unique."
An offensive line like that should be the primary thing that South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer should be most concerned about, as they prepare to face the Ole Miss Rebels this Saturday.
