I ain’t gonna lie, the Ole Miss season opening game is probably my most anticipating opening game to college football in a long time.

How can you not be excited about the upcoming season opening game against Boise State, that is just a mere 126 days away. The Ole Miss Rebels will start off their season in a format they are not accustom to over the previous seasons. The team will head to Atlanta, Georgia to take on their opponent Boise State in the infamous Georgia Dome in one of the first games of the 2014 NCAA College Football season.

The game will be the annual Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. Last season, it was Alabama against Virginia Tech in the nationally televised event.

Earlier today, 5Dimes blogger and Bleacher Report columnist Adam Kramer released his College Football Week 1 Point Spreads by 5Dimes on his site KegsnEggsBlog.com. In the article, Ole Miss is picked as an early 8 1/2 point favorite over Boise State.

This of course is a way too early prediction, and as far as meaningful statistics go, it really doesn’t matter. The spread is not of much of bragging rights for our Rebels since the bidders feel it will be a one possession game. Genarally, one possession spreads mean it is too close to call. But, it is football news. We are talking about football, y’all, and that is always exciting news.
