Of course, there have been official visits over the past few weekends which have netted huge results.
After this past weekend which saw 14 top-rated prospects on the Ole Miss campus the Rebels had three huge commits. Recruiting Notes
Ole Miss Rebels Football
This weekend is the final weekend for official visits at Ole Miss and across the country. Of course, this weekend is a huge weekend as there will be a 8 top prospects on campus in Oxford. One huge addition to this weekends scheduled officials is 4-star offensive tackle prospect Tank Jenkins out of Montgomery, Alabama.
Jon Garcia, Jr of OMSpirit has reported Jenkins has Ole Miss in his final three schools with Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Of course, Jenkins has taken officials to both Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Most major recruiting outlets have Jenkins headed to Norman, however having him on campus in Oxford this weekend could be the difference maker. Jenkins will announce his final decision on NSD.
Other News On Top Targets
There is news involving several other top Rebels targets and official visits. Of course, it’s been reported 3-star RB Charles Strong cancelled his official visit to Arkansas after last weekends official at Ole Miss. His top three schools are Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Florida State. This bodes well for coach Matt Luke and Ole Miss recruiting.
4-star WR Tommy Bush who took his official to Ole Miss on January 19th was considering cancelling his other official for this weekend. However there are big in-home visits still planned with a number of schools.
One other interesting note is on 3-star SDE Fabien Lovett of Olive Branch. Lovett took an unofficial to Ole Miss this past Sunday afternoon after leaving his official visit to Miss State. Lovett has an official set for this weekend at Florida.
One recruiting setback for the Rebels this week was concerning 3-star SDE Dorian Gerald. Ole Miss was trying to get a midweek official from Gerald however he opted to take his visit to Arkansas instead.
The Final Weekend Visits
Ole Miss has some huge official visits scheduled for this weekend on campus. Ole Miss early signees DT Jalen Cunningham and SDE James Williams will be spending the final weekend before NSD as ambassadors for the 2018 Rebels class. They will welcome 6 top prospects to Oxford.
Besides 4-star OT Tank Jenkins there will also be visits by 3-star CB Benjie Franklin, 4-star TE Michael Ezeike, 3-star SDE John Mincey, and 3-star OLB Jayden McDonald. Also still scheduled to visit is former Rebels commit 3-star WDE Deuntra Hyman who flipped his commitment earlier this week to Southern Miss.
