More from Ole Miss Football

There is little doubt to any Ole Miss football fan what Marquis Haynes meant to the Ole Miss program while he was playing. All you have to do is look at his stats at DE and you can see the role he played in the Rebels defensive success. Haynes currently holds school records for sack and for tackles for loss. Haynes was also a Chucky Mullins Courage Award winner.

Marquis Haynes attended the 2018 NFL Combine and graded out well in all of the events. Haynes had a prospect grade of 5.61 which many scouts believe gives Haynes a chance to be a NFL starter. Haynes has the explosive first move and speed to be a huge threat off the edge for the right NFL team. However, at his size he is looked at as small for the defensive line at the pro level.

There has been discussion among scouts and pundits who believe he will fall into the hands of a defense as an early down 3-4 pass rush outside linebacker or EDGE/DPR. Haynes because of his strengths is being projected by many scouts have placed Haynes to go in the 3rd to 4th rounds and we have to agree with them.
