No.5 Ed Orgeron, LSU

More from Ole Miss Football

I’m sure this is where OHT begins to get hate mail from Red Stick but this is where coach O lands in the rankings. Of course, most of us older Ole Miss football fans remember the mess he made during his tenure in Oxford so we can appreciate this spot for Orgeron. While Orgeron inherited a mess in LSU his head coaching ability has definitely improved from his time at Ole Miss.

Coach Ed Orgeron has a 15-6 record as head coach in Baton Rouge. However, overall his record sits at a sub .500 31-33. Will he be able to get over the hump this season at LSU? We can be sure of that much but how good will the Tigers really be? They lost to Troy last season.

Coach O has managed to build a competitive team on both sides of the ball even though the offense is still dragging behind. Orgeron is a great recruiter and has had a couple of recruiting classes to help shore up the                                                                        offense. This is why coach O sits at No.5.
