More from Ole Miss Football

It is a hard task to find a better running back in Ole Miss history. In fact you really can’t when you base it on statistics. Deuce McAllister holds the all-time rushing yardage record at Ole Miss. Between 1997 and 2000 the Deuce had 3,181 yards are 633 carries averaging 5.0 yards per carry. He also had 37 TDs. His 37 rushing TDs is also the Ole Miss record for career rushing touchdowns.

Deuce McAllister would be drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2001 NFL draft after posting a 4.31 40-yard dash time in the 2001 NFL Pro Day. The Morton High School standout spent his entire 8 year NFL career with the Saints. McAllister was selected as a two-time pro bowler and is the all-time Saints leading rusher with 6,096 yards and 49 rushing TDs. There is no doubt McAllister established himself on both the college and professional levels.
