Kent State Golden Flashes

More from Ole Miss Football

September 22 the Golden Flashes of Kent State out of the Mid-America Conference come to Oxford to take on the Rebels. Coached by Sean Lewis they are a talented and fundamentally sound football team yet they are simply outmatched in almost every game they play. Kent State is not scared and play several big teams each season. For example this season they play Ole Miss, Penn State and Illinois.

The Golden Flashes went 2-10 in 2017 and lost most of their starters from that team. Kent State returns only 4 starters on offense and only 5 starters on defense from last season. They have a projected record of 2-10 and are only truly favored in one game they play in 2018. This will be the Rebels 4th game of the season coming off a home game against Bama. This game will be one where Matt Luke puts it away early and rest his starters in the second half. Rebels in a blowout.
