More from Ole Miss Football

In the new 3-4 defense the Rebels success in 2019 will depend greatly on solid play at the linebacker position both on the inside and outside. New DC Mike MacIntyre is loaded at both position groups and especially on the inside. Saturday Ole Miss football fans will be wide-eyed as we watch the new defense and get a look at what the future looks like on that side of the ball and we will be watching some great defensive players.

One Rebel Ole Miss football fans will be watching this Saturday is junior ILB Mohamed Sanogo. In 2018 we watched a sophomore Sanogo lead the team in tackles and could be on pace to be the next Rebels LB to lead the team for three consecutive seasons. In 2018 Sanogo had 112 total tackles with 52 solo tackles. Sanogo had 6.5 TFL for 24 yards with 1 sack, 1 pass deflection and 2 forced fumbles. Sanogo is a likely candidate for the No.38.
