Coach Jamie Trachsel and Ole Miss softball were back in action Saturday in the Trojan Classic which was their first tourney of the 2021 season.

Coach Trachsel and Ole Miss softball (2-2) entered the two Saturday games after splitting their two Friday games. Although the Rebels were victorious in the first game Friday with an 8-2 win over UAB, their second game of the day was a 5-2 loss to tourney host Troy.

With only four teams in the Trojan Classic, the Rebels would face Belmont in game-one and then UAB in their second game of the day. The Rebels had a huge 10-2 win over Belmont (0-4) behind 4 HRs but then dropped the rematch with UAB in a rough 13-5 loss. The Rebels didn’t play Sunday as a result of inclement weather. OHT looks at both games by the numbers.
