Ole Miss football was recognized on the national stage when WR Elijah Moore was selected by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Ole Miss football was back in the national spotlight Friday evening when former Rebels wide receiver Elijah Moore came off the draft board. Moore was selected as the 2nd pick in the second round by the New York Jets. Expected to be an early pick, Moore landed in a good spot as the 34th overall pick.
Elijah Moore was phenomenal in the 2020 season with the Rebels. In just eight games Moore would prove why he was considered a high draft pick. Despite opting out of the final two games of the season, Moore recorded 86 receptions for 1,193 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Elijah Moore finished the 2020 season with First Team All-SEC and First Team All-American honors as well as both a Biletnikoff and Maxwell Awards semi-finalist.
In the 2020 Ole Miss season, Moore led the nation in both receiving yards per game (149.1) and receptions per game (10.8).
Moore ended the 2020 Ole Miss football season ranked No.18 in the nation with eight receiving scores and No.12 in the nation with 158.3 all-purpose yards per game.
Moore’s 1,193 receiving yards ranks third for a single season in the Ole Miss Rebels record books and is the most ever for an Ole Miss player thru just the first eight games.
Without a doubt, Moore goes down as one of the greatest Ole Miss wide receivers. In his career at Ole Miss, Moore lands in the record book tied for No.3 in career receptions with 189, No.4 in career receiving yards with 2,441, and No. 6 in career touchdowns with 16.
