Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin's son Knox Kiffin announced earlier this month that he had no intentions of going to Ole Miss as a Class of 2028 prospect.

"I'm definitely not going to play for my dad. I want to do my own stuff," he had said, asserting that Ole Miss wasn't happening at all.

And surprisingly, Lane Kiffin took the news well instead of having the typical reaction of trying to convince him.

And his son coming off a massive win against Murrah, his second win on his second start this season as the Oxford QB, gave Kiffin the perfect opportunity to show his support for his son.

The Ole Miss football coach took to his social media and pitched his son as a prospect to the head coaches of the school he had at the top of his list.

Knox revealed his top 3 schools around the same time he made his decision of not going to LSU clear. He listed Oregon, LSU, and Florida to be his top 3 picks.

Taking that into account, Kiffin tagged LSU and Dan Lanning to his son's post-game interview. While it may or may not be due to the rumors surrounding him and Florida, Kiffin skipped mentioning Florida and instead tagged the head coach of the top school in the SEC, Kirby Smart.

This was Knox's second win this season, adding more to Kiffin's proud dad moment. He had one last week too, when Knox led Oxford to an overtime win against Germantown.

Although he missed attending it in person due to his hectic schedule, he confessed how special it was seeing his son succeed.

"I mean, for a dad. I wish I could have been there, but I was watching it on the phone, you know, on the feed and there’s just something that only dads can explain about their kid playing ball and going down and winning the game like that. It was just awesome," the Rebels head coach said on Monday when asked about his son's win.

Even though it is way too early for Knox to be concerned about his recruiting, the Oxford QB is already looking like he will be a hot QB in the recruiting market the next and the following season.

Through four games, Knox Kiffin has a total of 5 TDs and 627 offensive yards, making him a prospect all programs will keep an eye out for.
