More from Ole Miss Football

The current SEC rushing leader JUCO transfer Scottie Phillips has 31 carries for 311 yards and 4 TDs thru the Rebels first two games. Phillips has proven to a hard running and fast one-cut back who can be highly productive. If Phillips gets touches he will get yards and will likely break a long run or two. It may have only been two games but Phillips numbers are still very impressive and good enough to lead the SEC.

While Scottie Phillips is very talented a large part of his success comes as a result of solid blocking from the Ole  Miss offensive line. The Rebels O-line is one of the biggest, most talented and most experienced groups in the nation and have a distinct edge against the Bama defensive line. If the Ole Miss offensive line can win matchups in the trenches Scottie Phillips should put up big numbers. The Rebels need a big run game against the Tide.
