Coach Kermit Davis and Ole Miss basketball were hoping to keep their win streak active as they hosted Miss State Saturday in The Pavilion.

Coach Kermit Davis and Ole Miss basketball (12-9, 7-7) had been on a roll. The Rebels were on a four-game winning streak when they entered The Pavilion Saturday evening. Two of the Rebels’ four wins were over No.10 Tennessee and No.10 Missouri and the Rebels were looking at a possible berth in the big dance. However, the Mississippi State Bulldogs (12-11, 6-8) would have something to say about that.

The Bulldogs picked up the 66-56 win over the Rebels. The Bulldogs took the early lead and never looked back leading from wire to wire. The Rebels hot shooting from the previous four games had cooled off and had only one player to score in double-digits. Devontae Shuler had an especially bad night shooting only 1 of 15 from the field.  OHT takes a look at the Rebels’ loss by the numbers.
