Out of Pearl City, Hawaii Jordan Ta’amu has been solid in his time as a Ole Miss Rebels quarterback. After becoming starter following the LSU game last season Ta’amu showed why he was so highly sought after out of the juco ranks.
Ta’amu finished out the 2017 season starting five games and completing 115 of 173 passes for 1,682 yards and 11 TDs while only throwing 4 INT. Jordan also rushed for another 165 yards and 4 TDs. Ta’amu showed why he was capable of being a top SEC QB.
Jordan Ta’amu is expected by many Ole Miss fans to have a terrific 2018 season picking up right where he left off in 2017. From reports in camp he is right on target with his throws to some of the best receivers in the country. When you look at Ta’amu in this seasons offense it will resemble 2017 but most fans believe it will be the best in the SEC and Ta’amu has weapons to make it happen and allow big numbers.
Of course, Ole Miss football fans are obviously not the only ones expecting Jordan to have a good season. Ta’amu was recently selected to the 2018 Polynesian Player of the Year watch list which goes to the top Polynesian college player in the nation. It is expected Ta’amu will be selected to other watch lists before or during the season based on his performance.
Congratulations to Ole Miss quarterback Jordan Ta’amu on his 2018 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List selection and good luck this season. Ta’amu will be in action September 1 in Houston, Texas as the Rebels take on the Red Raiders of Texas Tech. Hotty Toddy!
